There are many social disputes around the world. Hong Kong is not the exceptional case.
Hong Kong citizens have more and more resentments towards the society.
Many Hong Kong people show herd behavior which they unconsciously follow or fight against the leader.
Anger and sorrow would only bring the world to the end. If I could select a music to awake the soul of people,
I would choose Mozart's "Requiem" to comfort the souls and help them rest in peace. 

"Requiem" is the theme painting of my first solo exhibition "Overture" in Hong Kong .
"Overture" means beginning. At the same time, "Requiem" is the last work of Mozart and it represents the ending.
The two meanings are contradictory. And this is what I aim to show in my exhibition. Death symbolizes the beginning of life.
This exhibition is the start of my coming solo exhibitions. It also represents the end of my training in painting.
I focused on drilling the realistic presentation during my training and most of my previous paintings bring no message to the audience.
I just unconsciously pursued realism and perfection. And these are the basics of painting.
I finally developed my own painting style in 2011 in "My Dolly".

任何地方也存在很多社會紛爭,特別是本地的社會怨氣越來越多,很多人只懂盲目跟隨別人,無意識地去服從或抗爭,
憤怒、哀怨只會導致令世界續漸催向滅亡,如果能選擇一曲把大家的靈魂喚醒,我會用 莫扎特的 " 安魂 " ,讓怨氣沖天的 靈魂安息。

這幅作品用於本人的首次香港個展 '' 序曲 '' ,   序曲是開首的意思 。 而安魂曲是莫扎特的最後作品,也之代表了的終結的意思 。
兩者剛好相反,但也正就是我的用意 。 所謂死亡就是生命的開始 。 今次的個展既是一個新開始,也是代表著我的練習時期完結 。
練習時期,我喜歡畫一些較為寫實的作品,作品大多數也沒有意思,只懂追求真實和唯美,然而這是繪畫的根本。新的風格出現在 2011 年 "  My Dolly" ,
作品屬超現實主義的風格,表現以探索潛意識中的矛盾為主,如人性善惡、生與死、過去和未來等,為了表現與真實世界的扭曲或矛盾,
並採用了寫實的手法來表達超現實的世界。

作品以沒有靈魂的日系唯美洋娃娃來比喻現代社會中那些只顧生活及工作而活得行屍走肉的人,
人們為了物質、金錢、慾望等就像著了魔一樣,往往會做出一些不由自主的行為   。
作品會間接以血腥、暴力及不安的感覺來表達出現代社會現象及人類對自然環境的態度,因為現在的世界就是給我有著這種不安的感覺。
這系列的作品希望能給予世人反思在生活中的提示,以平面作品顯示出現今世界環境、自身行為及人類對社會責任等的嚴峻情況。
My Dolly著重繪畫陰沉的眼神,代表著人性內心的複雜,觀看者在欣賞畫中娃娃的同時,
畫中的娃娃也在觀看著他們的內心世界,從而產生人與畫的交流與聯繫。
